Ellie Walks

As you know Ellie does her own thing when she wants to.  Luckily I was recording an ordinary morning when I capture Ellie's greatest "walk" yet.  She has been taking steps for awhile, but this was the best that I have seen!

Home Movies

"It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown"  football scene
Abby playing the parts of both Lucy and Charlie

Ross from "Friends"  PIVOT!

Dash's Dance Party

One thing about Ellie is that she NEVER does something for you that she doesn't want to.  Here I am trying to capture her doing the motions to "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" instead I got "I see you!"  I have been trying to get that forever!
The girls' favorite show is Super WHY!  Here is the theme song plus a little bonus at the end.

15 Month Check up (10/23)

I couldn't find my camera for awhile, so I am behind on some pictures.  Fortunately, they are dated!

Our dear Abby

Here are a few of the funny things our little goober has said lately:

  • Abby learned her lesson not to tell Jesus that her daddy is mean, but that doesn't mean that she isn't completely honest with Him still.  The following evening after the previous post I read stories to Abby right before bed.  I explained to her before reading the last book that I would read it to her, but that would count as her bedtime story.  She agreed.  However, once the story was finished she got into bed and prayed with Daddy.  Her prayer went a little something like this: "Dear Jesus, My daddy is nice, my mommy is nice, my baby sister is nice.  My daddy is not going to read me a story, Jesus.  He is nice, but he is not going to read me a story."  She got a story.

  • Abby's nickname for Ellie is Jelly.  She is the only person who calls her that, and she does consistently.  While they were wrestling on the bed one night Abby said, "JELLY!  I am so glad you came to America!"

  • While watching the Goodnight Show on Sprout, Nina (from the show) and Star asked the audience if they wanted to help draw pictures in the sky with stars.  Abby answered the TV in a matter of fact fashion, "No, I don't want to do that."

  • Over Thanksgiving Abby was with her seven cousins and would tell them individually, "We are friends, and we are cousins."

Full Disclosure

The other night Adam had bedtime duty with an overtired three year old who didn't feel as if she were ready for bed.  Needless to say, she was upset about having to go down.  Therefore, the following is what she prayed:

Dear Jesus,
Please let my daddy stay with me, and not go downstairs with mommy. My daddy is mean, Jesus. He's not nice.

Adam interrupted and told her that wasn't very nice.

"Oh right, sorry, sorry, sorry," said Abby.

Continued prayer...

My mommy's nice and my daddy's nice and my baby sister. Grammy and Pa are okay, and they're nice too. Thank for keeping them safe through the funderstorm (Sandy). Their house blew away, Jesus. They got help from the cows, goats, and the sheeps.

 In Jesus name, amen.

My helpers

One day...

We tried putting Abby's hair in a ponytail.  She's BEAUTIFUL, but she looks too old.  There will be plenty of time for this look, so I am going to the milk the pigtails for as long as we can!  Don't worry she won't be like Laura Ingalls or Cindy Brady, I will stop the look at an appropriate age!
