Happy

Abby's 5 year old cousin, Bella, has been in Peyton Manning Children's hospital for almost a week. I told Abby that we would be going to visit Bella because she is sick, and we can go and make her happy.  This sounded like a good idea to Abby.  "Yeah, Mommy.  Let's go make Bella happy."

I am so proud of my daughter.  Abby walked right into Bella's room, made herself comfy, and played gently next to her friend.  She even would wrap her arm around her to give her sweet hugs.

On the way home Abby said to me in the car, "I made Bella and Jesus happy."

Yes, you did, my sweet little girl.

6 month check up

Ellie had her 6 month check up, and thankfully she is healthy and developmentally on track.  What more could a mother hope for?  The doctor was slightly concerned with the shape of Ellie's head, so she is going to send us to a specialist at Riley Children's Hospital to get it checked out.  Worst case scenario, she will have to wear a helmet to help with her head formation.  This is purely a cosmetic issue, her brain is totally fine (which was my immediate concern).  So we praise God that we have a healthy and happy baby!  She just might get to sport an awesome hat!

Ellie had to get an oral vaccination as well as three injections.  She cried a little then gave the nurse a classic Ellie smile when it was all over (just with a few tears still lingering on her cheeks).  I have another tough girl!

Both girls LOVED playing and eating the paper.  By the time the nurse came in there was hardly any paper left on the bed!

Stats:
Weight: 16.8 lbs. 72%
Height: 26 in. 65%
Head: 17.2 in. 87%

Two Hams

Playing in the snow

Does this snowball fight seem fair to you?
{I love hearing Ellie talk during this video}

Now he's throwing snowballs at the photographer!

What do you think?
* Hugs*
 Pretty good.
Is she offering herself as a human sacrifice?

Happy Birthday Papa!

We sure LOVE you!

Spy Games

I secretly recorded Abby playing with her Lego's.  My favorite part is Pooh telling Eeyore he has to take a rest, and Eeyore refusing.  Eeyore won.

My humble attempts to be crafty

I personalized these mailboxes for the girls to get little surprises in like little lovenotes, stickers, items from Target's dollar section, etc.  Each morning the week of Valentine's Day they will wake up to find mail!  If you want to contribute a message, just leave a comment here and I will put it in their box!

Mom Journal
Perhaps the title is silly, but years from  now I will be grateful that I kept this.  I am going to document cute quotes and stories, my girls' progress, blessings, and little daily activities that I might later forget.

Silly girls

Crazy Elephant!

Ellie Girl

 I'm little...
...and cute...
and I can even do this!

Playtime with Daddy

This makes me happy.

Hanging out watching George

Curious George is a new fave around our house.

I love these little monkeys girls.

My little cutie

Not only does the child LOVE to eat Cuties, she insists on peeling them herself.  When she is finished peeling, she gathers the pieces and places the small pieces inside of the large.  I am impressed.

Halfy Birthday Party

Adam's homemade pizza  (I am so upset I don't have a picture of Adam and Ellie.  I need to get better at getting photos of everyone.)
Of course Abby got a present from N & P, too.

Abby picked out these bracelets for Ellie.  She loves them!

 Halfy birthday to me!

Ellie is six months!

What Ellie has been  up to this past month:

Christmas day

Christmas day was super relaxed and enjoyable.  The family arrived at noon and we ate our Christmas dinner, exchanged gifts, and had dessert.  I loved that it was a nice warm, sunny day, too!
Someone was ready for Christmas dinner.
The menu:
Turkey
Angel biscuits
cheesy potatoes
Buche de Noel

I feel horrible that there are no pictures of Ellie Christmas day.  She napped most of the day, and when she woke up to open our gifts our camera had cracked.
