But Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Luke 18:16

Adam's Snowman
After Abby went inside, her daddy continued to have fun in the snow. Here is the product of his playtime....

Sledding!!
Pre Christmas Lunch
It is a tradition for the girls to get together before Christmas for a ladies' lunch and exchange Christmas presents that one can enjoy during the season. Unfortunately, Aunt Stephanie couldn't make it due to the busy time of college. Grandma Spivey got Abby some Christmas stories, and matching mother daughter aprons. Abby's says, "Hostess in Training." TOO CUTE!

Ethan's Birthday Party
(Angie and Liam, Ethan and Kristen, Abby and me)
Two very good friends of mine were pregnant the same time I was. One of them, Kristen, was due on March 11 (Abby's birthday), but had her son, Ethan, prematurely on December 4th. Like most premature babies, he had a rough start, but one year later he is thriving and exceeding our hopes and expectations. What a joy to celebrate his first year of life! My roommate from college, who currently lives out of state, was also there with her son. The kids had a great time crawling around chasing cats and balls. I hope I am not making them sound like dogs.
We tried to get a great shot of the three kiddos together, but that was a challenge. Of course our dear little Abby is so used to the camera that while the boys were stretching and crying in the background, she posed up by putting her little hand on her cheek and gave a giant smile. What a ham!
O Christmas Tree
We don't get our Christmas tree from a neat farm where you pay an arm and a leg to cut the tree yourself. Nope, we get ours from Lowes. However, Adam and I have been doing that since we've been married, so it is tradition. This year I was thankful that our tradition was adjacent to a warm store, so that Abby and I could hang out inside once I told Adam which tree I wanted. Then we waited in the comfort of our car while he tied it to the roof. Our tradition may not be incredibly nostalgic, but it is warm (for some of us).

"No, Mommy, that isn't looking right."
