Christmas Eve

 Before heading to church
 King Chef
Abby ate her rice out of the cup.  I am not exaggerating when I say that she easily ate 10 cups of rice!  The girl likes Chinese food.
Making sure that her stocking is ready for Santa
Abby shared her favorite Pooh cookies with Santa.  (Okay so I ran out of time to make cookies for Santa.)  Fortunately, she didn't know or care :)

 Going up to bed!

Ellie had to go to bed, too, before Santa came.

Two couch potatoes

Yuletide

Waiting for Nina and Papa to come pick her up.

Our elf isn't as creepy

Hollyhock

Thanks again, Uncle Erich, for a fun and delicious dinner.  I wish I had a picture of you with the girls!

We'll talk about this more later

While resting in her room, Abby asked me if I would go get baby Jesus and "Married" (Mary) for her.  When I returned with the nativity figures, she asked if I would also go get her God.
"No,"  I said, "because we can't see God."
"Oh, is He in the wash?"  she asked.
"No, He's in Heaven or our hearts if we ask Him there."
"Well, that's the silliest thing I ever heard," she said with her arms crossed and her nose wrinkled.

Have a good rest Abby...

Merry Christmas!

Did Christmas come quickly this year or what?  I am sad to report that I ran out of time to send Christmas cards this year.  Very sad.  If I would have, this would have been the picture I sent, and I would have wished you a very blessed Christmas.  And to quote Abby, "Jesus came as a baby so we can go to HEAVEN!"   How wonderful is that?

Someone give this girl a solo!

The toddler's only part in this program was to sing 'Away in a Manger' at the end.  Yet Abby felt it was time for her solo.  No one was going to stand in her way!
Take a bow, sweetie.

Let's hear it for Abby's first program!

Jesus loves...

Today while looking at a picture of Jesus in Abby's room, I asked her who does Jesus love?  Her instilled answer, "the little children, Mommy."  It didn't stop there though.  He also loves, "Daddy, Mommy, Ellie, Abby and....Monkey Joes."

Santa Claus is Coming to Town!

We took the girls to see the Noblesville Santa Claus on Saturday.  I was surprised that Abby actually sat on his lap this year!  He wasn't the most photogenic, but he was very, very kind.
Adam and Abby waited in the line while Ellie and I stayed in the warm car until it was our turn.
Outside of Santa's house.  We're next!
Ellie sat on his lap first to prove to Abby that Santa is nice.

Getting ready to see Santa

Abby kisses Ellie on her own.  We never tell her to do this.  Love.

Ellie is 5 months

  • Laughs!!
  • Loves/hates being tickled
  • plays with her hair, especially while eating
  • spits bubbles (so loudly at times that I can hear her from another room)
  • squeals and screams
  • sings
  • better at "tummy time" (lying on stomach and holding head up)
  • rolls onto her side
  • Puts a "lovey" on her face to fall asleep.
  • Crib dance- Ellie will wiggle from side to side with big smile on her face while lying in her crib.  I must get a video of it!
  • Watches big sister's every move
