Going home

One has to stay in the hospital for 48 hours after the delivery of one's baby.  This is due to testing they do on the baby 48 hours after birth.  Insurance does not cover an additional day for the parents, so we had wait all day Friday for the test, and leave at midnight.  That was not fun.  Not to mention we had a very pushy and rude nurse who wouldn't even allow me to feed Ellie before we left.   That is another story though...Too bad I didn't listen to her.

11:30 the night Ellie was born.

 Abby played in that curtain quite a bit.  She loved to spin in it and then pop out and say, "peek a boo!"

 I started to feel itchy on my face and neck from the Epidural, so I had some anti itch medicine which made me feel extremely dizzy and light headed.  Thus the oxygen.

Ellie Day One

Although Abby met her baby sister the night before, the next day she got to hold her for the first time.  She did so well!  She loves holding Ellie, and does so multiple times a day.  It amazes me how sweet and gentle she is, just check out how precious her little hand is resting on her baby sister's belly.
