"Okay listen boys. We need to get one good shot together okay?"

"Oh dear."

Two very good friends of mine were pregnant the same time I was. One of them, Kristen, was due on March 11 (Abby's birthday), but had her son, Ethan, prematurely on December 4th. Like most premature babies, he had a rough start, but one year later he is thriving and exceeding our hopes and expectations. What a joy to celebrate his first year of life! My roommate from college, who currently lives out of state, was also there with her son. The kids had a great time crawling around chasing cats and balls. I hope I am not making them sound like dogs.

We tried to get a great shot of the three kiddos together, but that was a challenge. Of course our dear little Abby is so used to the camera that while the boys were stretching and crying in the background, she posed up by putting her little hand on her cheek and gave a giant smile. What a ham!
