Christmas Eve

Church
The children were called on stage for a story.  Abby and Ellie both went up, but midway through the story Ellie stood up and called, "Mommy!"  I had to run up and rescue her.  Precious.
We loved church!  The girls were as well behaved as one of the wise men's gifts (hint: I'm not talking about frankincense or myrrh).  Ellie even went around to each of us to give us a hug.

Church was followed by King Chef

"Merry Christmas, Mr. Levengood."

Back at home the girls were so affectionate with one another.

Even during the Bible story.

Cookies for Santa
The boss was giving out orders.

Trying to sneak a peek of Santa.

It turned into somersaults.

Some always hope for a chance to see the big guy.

Heading up to bed!

This is totally normal for them.  They love bedtime.
(Not)

Abby tucked Ellie into bed.

She waited up forever to hear Santa's sleigh.  "Mommy, I never saw his red sleigh or bag of toys before.  I want to look out my window when I hear him come."

We totally indulged her.  The people across the street had a party that was ending and there was commotion outside that sounded like Santa on our roof.  It was crazy perfect.  So Adam jingled bells downstairs and stomped around for awhile.  "Mommy, you better go get in your bed!"  whispered Abby.

It was a pretty magical Christmas Eve.
