Please and Thank You

Last week it was so hot and humid I didn't feel like leaving our cool home unless I had to.  Therefore, I took advantage of the ample amount of time Abby and I had together to work on saying "please" and "thank you".  It took her about a day to say those magic words and a few more figure out that she could no longer point to something and go "uuuhh" and get what she wanted. 

This past weekend we were at TJ Maxx and Abby saw a doll she wanted.  She walked around the store carrying the box (that was 1/2 her size) containing the doll saying, "pllllleaaasse."  Well she definitely knows how to use the words in context!

Happy 4th of July!

This 4th of July we went to BUBS (Big Ugly Burger) for dinner.  We ordered Abby the mini burger (1/8 of a pound), and I think this is the most excited she has ever been about food.  The pictures show the excitement, but you can't hear the constant "mmmm" that was being said by our dear 15 month old.  She is definitely my child.

One evening Abby just stood up and started walking in the living room.  She took 30 steps like it was no big deal...Her preferred mode of transportation is still crawling, but we are proud to say that Abby CAN walk.

Still Nutty

Abby found a new spot she likes to hang out.  It is quite a production to get into it though.  She crawls all the way inside the shelf and turns around to sit and enjoy her surroundings.

After a day of shopping, Abby started walking around the house like this.  She stuck her mouse on her walker like a baby and took a Trader Joe's bag and walked around the house on a mission.

Irene and Jesse

I know that God loves all his children, but He must be especially fond of Irene and Jesse.  These two women are the sweetest people you could ever meet!  We were fortunate to have a visit from them while they were in Indiana for a missions conference. 

Irene and Jesse attended Adam's church when he was little and they became "adopted grandmothers" to him.
