See ya later, Mom!

Believe it or not, this was Abby's first time in a regular pool. A friend of mine, Beth, invited us along with some other new moms and their babies to go swimming at her in-laws' BEAUTIFUL pool. I spent some time getting Abby comfortable in the water, and thought she was doing a good job. Being the protective mom that I am I just held her in front of me and let her splash her little arms thinking that was about all she would want to do. Nope.

Beth's 14 year old cousin was at the pool with us, and asked if she could play with Abby. I allowed it. Distracted by question I turned my back on Abby knowing she was being watched by the girl and another mom. When I turned around I saw my baby riding past me on this girl's back with the biggest smile on her face kicking like she had been swimming forever! That little girl never ceases to amaze me...
There she goes!

Cow

One word in Abby's vocabulary of around 40 is by far her favorite. Cow. Usually she is right on when it comes to using the word correctly, but on occasion she will use that word to refer to something that is not a cow (i.e. a shopper at the grocery store). My favorite misuse of the word is when she sees a dog. She yells out cow and follows with a growl. Enjoy the video below.

BTW, she crawled her way over to her other stuffed cow.

U Pick Strawberries

Anyone ever read the picture book "Blueberries for Sal"? This reminded me of that story.

Delicious!!

"Cow"

While my mom and I were at a women's Bible study, my dad was in charge of Abby. It was his first time watching her by himself. The two played together for two hours non stop, and enjoyed the best ice cream known to mankind (do you agree Barbie?)!

"Dew" Abby's word for ceiling fans

Life is good.

Knowingly doing something at Nina and Papa's that she is not allowed to do at home. Can you see it on her face?

Little Nut

Abby loves to wear Mommy's sunglasses, and she has found that they stay on better when she wears them upside down.

A nightly ritual.

Abby sucks her thumb... She found this the other day and enjoyed playing with it. Every time she talked she was surprised that it fell out.
