But Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Luke 18:16

A is for Abby
Today was Abby's first day of our preschool playgroup. She has been looking forward to this all summer long, and was NOT disappointed. She had a great time learning with friends today!
Starting the morning off right with a healthy breakfast
Little sister was busy learning today, too.
"I didn't know there was so much to learn."
Practicing the "a" sound
"Look, Ellie!"
Ellie was there to support Abby all the way, and to watch over and make sure she was doing everything right.
Abby cut out this apple today and glued it. She put three seeds in the middle to represent her age.
BTW, thank you Grandma Stout.

Message of love
Monday morning after breakfast Abby and I sat down and to talk about what she had learned in Sunday school the day before. After we were done going over the Bible story about Josiah and giggling over the fact she played The Hokey Pokey. I wrapped up our conversation by stating, "We love Jesus don't we?" Abby replied, "Yes, we do, and we love people. Some people are mean and some are nice." I told her that we still love the mean people (even though that is much easier said that done, and I do not always walk the walk). Abby nodded her head yes, and started to play with her baby sister. Funny how I thought I was going to teach Abby something about Jesus, but instead she was the one who taught me. I love how the Lord speaks to us in any way He pleases (especially when He uses someone so cute).
My prayer is that Abby continues to live her life loving Jesus and others. If so, she's got the greatest commandment down!
